Sometimes, I'd just rather not know what goes on in the other room during my horn lesson.

What you see here is the direct result of a 40 minute gap (well, except for me and my horn lesson) between Conducting and Aural Skills IV for us sophomores who live in the Psalm annex all T/R mornings. This was the last day of class... and yes, we did spend the entire class up there. Four nutty music majors. Mr. Griffiths (that's him back there) was impressed. "Generally, when students do stuff like that, it's all just stuff I've already done - except I did it way cooler and 20 years ago. This is an exception."

A disease worth avoiding

Miriam told me she caught the hemiola virus... and the doctor predicted it would last 2-3 weeks.

[EDIT - Bethanie's genius is to thank for this joke]

Unfortunately, you probably won't get this one unless you took/are taking Music History or are already a music geek. We learned about serial music in MH this week and I couldn't resist.

Are you sure you want to be reading this blog?...

Why couldn't the rock climbers scale the clef without having any accidentals?

Because they were using borrowed cords...

Which soon became broken cords, which obviously interfered with the suspensions.

When Caryn doesn't get enough sleep

What kind of music does Dr. Cross listen to during spring cleaning?
Ragtime!

You know what the REAL "Era of Common Practice" is... the week before juries.

Sometimes I like to make fun of stuff people my age say.

Because it made Mr. Bartsch giggle.

In the beginning: the comic that started it all...
